BRUSSELS - Turkey-EU screening process was launched on Saturday with the science and technology chapter.
Turkish and Croatian delegates, and executives of the European Commission responsible for enlargement and science and technology attended the meeting held in Brussels.
Pierre Mirel and Fabrizio Barbaso of Commission's Enlargement Department, Turkey's Permanent Representative to EU Oguz Demiralp, and Croatia's chief negotiator Vladimir Drobnjak are participating in this meeting.
The European Commission will explain the Union's acquis regarding science and technology in this meeting. On the other hand, Turkey will brief the EU on legal arrangements regarding these areas on November 14th.
This process in which bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and current legal arrangements regarding science and technology will be discussed, is expected to last till the end of this year.
