Marlburians now have information about a wide range of community resources at their fingertips.
An online database has been created to provide information about community services available in Marlborough.
Marlborough District Libraries manager Glenn Webster, who managed the Marlborough District Council-initiated project, said about 700 organisations had been entered into the database.
"While this is not a reflection of all the organisations providing services in Marlborough, it is a good start and shows community spirit is in good heart in the region."
Mr Webster said the database featured organisations from a wide range of sectors including arts, culture and heritage, sport and recreation, health, environment, welfare/social services, employment, education, youth, elderly and Maori.
Other organisations, such as residents associations, could also be accessed.
He said other community groups could still be included in the database by completing an online form on the council's website www.marlborough.govt.nz or a hard copy of the form at the Blenheim or Picton libraries. Completed forms can be left at the libraries.
